Well, That Was Disappointing

Not much to say about the game today. Obviously, I was pretty well crushed with the way it ended and the fact that Michigan kept giving the Buckeye receivers a mile and a half cushion off the line of scrimmage didn’t help. Not sure who it was for Michigan on that last play who wouldn’t get the heck out of bounds. I assume it was backup TE Tyler Ecker, but I was too busy stomping around and yelling to really notice. Credit where credit is due, though. Troy Smith was amazing today, with his legs and his arm. The thing is, his legs didn’t get much in the way of big gains, but he avoided numerous tackles that kept drives alive and OSU in the game. They deserved this one.

…now I’m going to go drive into oncomming traffic.

After watching that game, all I can say as an FSU fan is: “Bill, quit complaining about your quarterbacks!!!.”

The Troy Smith we saw today was not the Troy Smith we saw against Penn State.

    Meh. Yankee teams.

    Now how ’bout them Commodores!

Yeah, now we get to hear Bill drone on about BCS rankings. OSU almost got beat by a shitty team. They should drop in the ratings :).

Another arguement for the elimination of the prevent defense.

Troy Smith threw 10 yard passes against them over and over again on that drive, because they just giving him that part of the field on every play.

Even though I had no one to pull for in this game, I guess I’m happy that OSU won as the Big Ten should get two BCS teams now.

NY Giants won. NE Pats won. I’m a happy guy. :)

This ended up being one of the worst sports weekends for me in recent memory. Michigan loses a heartbreaker. The Wings downturn continued with a loss to lowly St. Louis. The Pistons not only lost their first game, but got absolutely clobbered in doing so. And the Lions… never count on them to save a bad sports weekend. Ack.

Oh yeah, and the Carr boobirds over that pooch punt need to shut the hell up. Glen nailed it with regards to the prevent defense. They let Smith nickel and dime them all the way down the field until Smith made that last unbelievable pass play. I do wish they’d opted for tighter coverage, but the bottom line was OSU was the better team on Saturday and that’s the way it goes.

…I could do with a little less Michigan hating online, though. Every damn forum I go to it’s people saying they’re glad Michigan lost. It stings just a little.
