Xbox 360 in the house!!
Yeah! Just kidding. I wouldn’t be a loser and spend $400 on that turd. I did get my first game for review today. However I can’t review it, since i don’t have the console and all. Oops.
At 4:30 PM I left work early to pick up drugs for the Mrs (sudafed) at Wal-Mart. Just for kicks I went into the electronics department. There they were, the people already lined up, 20 or so deep waiting for midnight. OMG that is teh funny! Why do you have to buy this new console? Is it for the crippled versions of your favorite sports games? Is it becuase you want to see how Perfect Dark looks from an N64 to an X360? Or do you just like blowing money?
Me? Bitter? Yes! I’m not getting one if you can’t tell. I refuse to buy a bundle. The CC bundle was reasonable, at least they didn’t throw profit crap in there like “1 year replacement plan”. Yeah, new electronics always fail in the first year. My original Xbox had a DDE (dirty disc error) and I called Microsoft 3 years after I got the console — they still sent me a new one.
So, all of you enjoy waiting out in the cold (the Best Buy near me has 57 consoles, but they aren’t opening at midnight — so enjoy that 14+ hour wait in the rain and cold), I will be sleeping soundly, not really caring that I’m missing Madden 360.

Yes, you sound bitter.
No, the launch games aren’t going to knock my socks off, but when GR:AW comes out in a few months, and then the new baseball games, then Madden 2007… I’ll want the 360 version, not the Xbox version for a 5yr old system. I seriously doubt that the price tag will drop much, if anything, in the next 6-8 months. I might as well get it now and enjoy it, no?
Anyway, I’m hitting Sam’s Club… no lines, no waiting, no bundles. I talked to their manager today (while picking up a mega huge box of diapers for my little ankle biters) and he said they received 20. Of course, only those of us with business class memberships get in the door 3hrs early, like every other day. I might buy two if there’s noone there at 7am.

I’m playing the same game that I did with the original Xbox. I’m waiting for those two or three games that really have me needing to get the system. It took me well over a year last time, and I’m guessing it will take as long this time.

There’s huge lines outside Circuit City and Best Buy in the rain here in NYC. I’m fortunate I have a preorder.
