Fun, fun, fun
For those still looking for the X360, Bill Harris gave away the super secret link. That’s how I got my Xbox 360 :).
That’s how some other people bought theirs as well. Some of the stuff in the bundles are absolute crap. I did ok with mine…although I don’t have 3 friends over at once ever, I can use it as a backup controller, right?
This is a dullsville week for gaming. DoA 4 should be out soon, it’s not around here, but in the mean time I need to get my gamerscore up from 90. It’s embarassing. Maybe I’ll buy Joust just for the points….

Are you talking about the Xbox 360 Live Inventory Locator? I have the link, and it’s been published by USA Today.

Play King Kong if you want an easy 1,000. You get 100 for using fire the first time.
Another way to add easy points is to play any of the sports titles. Scoring 50 in any time length game in NBA2k6 nets you 200 points. It’s a joke.
Then you have games like Perfect Dark Zero that give you next to nothing for completing the game.

Almost as stunning as Damon’s decision to sign with Boston’s storied archrival was that the Red Sox did not learn of Damon’s decision until they were contacted by reporters last night. CEO Larry Lucchino, who already has endured intense criticism in the wake of Theo Epstein’s unexpected departure as general manager Oct. 31, was in charge of the Damon negotiations and said last night he had not been told of a deal by either Damon or his agent, Scott Boras.
”We have received no such notification,” Lucchino said in an e-mail after having referred to ”ongoing negotiations” with Damon in an earlier e-mail. ”No further comment.”
Red Sox chairman Tom Werner, reached by telephone last night, also said he was unaware of Damon’s agreement with the Yankees.
”No, I’m not aware of it,” Werner said. ”We knew there have been conversations [between the Yankees and Damon]. I’m not surprised by it. I knew how interested they were in him. But you’re telling me something I didn’t know.
”If that’s true, I’m disappointed, but nothing surprises me anymore.”

They’re completely lost.
when Sox CEO Larry Lucchino got home at 11 last night, all he could say was, ”We don’t have comments on ongoing negotiations. We have received no such notification [of Damon signing with the Yankees]. We have not been notified of any such deal.”
Asked if it would be standard procedure for the Sox to be made aware of their free agent center fielder signing with another team, Lucchino said, ”It’s generally customary.”

Reporter: “Hey, Larry! Your reaction on Damon signing with the Yankees?”
Lucchino: (blank) “Damon signed with the Yankees?!”
And this little tidbit is telling:
Damon sarcastically alluded to Reed and Crisp in his inteview with Channel 4.
”Hopefully now they’ll go off and get one of the center fielders they’ve been courting for the last month or so,” he said.
The Red Sox publicly pursuing another CF to pressure him backfired.

In an interview two weeks ago with New York Newsday (http://www.nynewsday.com/sports/baseball/yankees/ny-sbdamon214559633dec21,0,1411996.story?coll=ny-yankees-print), Damon, obviously irritated with how his talks with the Red Sox were going, said, “They’re just one of the teams in the market right now. They’ve had all the time in the world, and I’ve given them every chance before last season and during the season.”
He also warned the Red Sox, “They’ve got to step up … They’ve dragged their feet long enough.”
Later in the article:
While Damon surely went into the offseason preferring to remain in Boston, a place he loved, he started to become annoyed at their unwillingness to pay close to what he figured was his market value. Perhaps their efforts in recent days to acquire Coco Crisp tipped off their belief that they would be unable to retain Damon.

I can’t believe I’m going to say this, but I think it’s time for the Red Sox to take a step back and rebuild. We can’t keep up with the Yankee’s payroll. The players we do have are not getting any younger. I’d keep Jason V as a team leader and Trot since his salary is relativly low and he has great work ethics. Beyond that, I think it’s time for an overhaul. Let’s build for a dynasty like the Braves rather than trying to complete a jig saw puzzle with too many missing pieces.
