O’s get "hottest pitcher’s wife ever"

Today the Orioles traded Jorge Julio and John Maine to the Mets for pitcher Kris Benson. While Mr. Benson’s pitching has been “meh” (although he does have more wins than losses), take a look at his wife. (Warning: Although she’s fully clothed here, the enormous peek-a-boo-nipples may not be safe for work, or if your wife is watching your computer reading).

So there’s that. Actually I am excited about this trade, because Julio was a lot like BJ Ryan in that you never knew what to expect. Julio had one pitch — it reminded me of the old Hardball game on the C64. Up gave you FASTBALL!, down gave you FASTBALL!, left gave you FASTBALL! and right gave you FASTBALL!. They say he had other pitches but I doubt it. It was all or nothing with Jorge. I did enjoy saying his name though, as my friend Kevin will attest during many Sox-Orioles games, there was nothing more exciting than saying here comes “Jorge the MEAT Julio” and he would throw 95+…and it was all or nothing. K, K, K, or HR, HR, 3B, BB, HR, HR. More often than not it was the latter.

So, yeah, I like this trade. Excuse me while I continue to google “Anna Benson”.

If you like lunatic, right-wing ex-strippers, Dan, have fun. Just wait til Anna opens her mouth again.

Anna’s a lunatic - although the right-wing part she got right. Just wait until she tells all of Baltimore how great Kris is and how he’s the next great pitcher etc…

As for Benson, he actually doesn’t have more wins than losses (57-61 over his career). Benson is 31 and hasn’t figured out how to pitch well yet. His stuff has always been pretty good, but he’s never amounted to much. Probably one of the most frustrating pitchers to watch. He’ll pitch a gem one game and then come back the next game and give up 7 runs through 2 innings. He’s also injury prone. He’s pitched over 200 innings 2 times in his career and one of them was a year in which he pitched 200.1 IP.

If you hated Julio, you’ll hate Benson. Julio was extremely talented as well, but never got it. Benson is the same way. Only difference now is that Benson is older and I don’t know how much he has left. For a #1 overall pick, he’s been a big bust.
