It was the the middling games of the Cleveland series all over again. There was no way they were going to win it, and it was miserable to watch. <br/><br/>Frankly, these guys haven't been the same since Game 2 against Cleveland. They looked much better for three quarters last night and then just tuned out offensively again in the 4th (basically playing pass once, and play isolation basketball while four other guys stand around). <br/><br/>But if the officiating favored the Pistons in Game 1 (I really don't now), it sure as hell didn't at the end of the 4th quarter last night. That was crap. Sheed's final foul was junk. Pistons were getting mugged all over the court (especially on the last couple inbounds passes) and Dick Bavetta's complete lack of acknowledgement of Prince's timeout call was insane. Frankly, I'm amazed they didn't whistle Lindsey Hunter's clean steal on the last play, you know, just cuz. <br/><br/>In any case, the Pistons have to play better than they have to win this series. They can. I think they will, in fact. But they've gotta show it, because Miami's coming with more grit than I expected when it looked like they were going to roll over for the Bulls.
