Railroad Tycoon
First off, I am having email issues so if you have mailed me (to my personal acct) in the past few days I most likely did not get it. I’m working on it.
I need to make this short and sweet since we’re about to head out to go to my parents house to swim, eat, and sleep. Ashley is down there so we’re going to spend the day now that Mary is back in town from her business trip.
Mary got back around 6 last night and instead of going out to eat or to see a movie — she wanted to play a board game. God bless her. I have had Railroad Tycoon sitting in shrink wrap for over a month and due to new house stuff we just have not had time to play it. We played a game last night and had an absolute blast. I’ll go into details wthis week because my dad wants to play a game tonight at his place so we’ll see how a 3-man game goes.
Suffice to say that this is a wonderful family game, just like the other train game I mentioned a while back, Ticket to Ride. Railroad Tycoon is much deeper than TTR and takes longer to play, but based on a first play session it is the ideal game for a family wanting to play a game together than doesn’t involve killing bad guys. Really, really, fun. Just make sure you have a big table. The boardgame map is gigantic…

Does this game have any solo capabilities or is it multiplayer only?
