Bill, mostly the roster editing limitations. Just much easier to fix things in franchise on the PC. The fatigue issue is the biggest thing.

I might grab it this weekend.

I also have a Dell 24" monitor.

It's irritating that a lot of EA PC games (such as Madden 07 and the Battlefield series) don't support widescreen resolutions such as 1920x1200. I also had to disable my second one completely to get the game to run.

I didn't think much of the game. Tried out superstar mode, was OK until I had to sit and watch the CPU until I got put into a game. As the backup fullback, this was only when the other team was kicking off. Players seemed to go at 2x speed while I was watching, but clock did not.

Franchise mode isn't fun because it doesn't model real life well enough and therefore doesn't reward me for making good real-life decisions. So I basically have to learn the quirks and faults of the system and play based on those. No thanks.

As for the rest of the game, I've played it to death before. I am not the type who gets excited about playing old games with new rosters. I want novelty and interesting new things in my games, like superstar mode if it had been designed properly, or franchise mode (which creates lots of unique situations) if tuned properly.

Are there any good football text sims out there? Went lookng and didn't see anything from the last couple years.

P2.4 GHz, 1 GB RAM, Radeon 9700 Pro (a 5 year old card) and a smokin' new 24" Dell widescreen monitor. :)

I run Madden at 1600x1200x32 w/o any trouble at all.

What are the franchise limits on the 360?

Bill, what are your PC specs? I like Madden for the 360, but the limits on franchise and the fatigue bug are making me consider the PC version. I have a P4 2Ghz with 512M of RAM and an ATI 9600Pro. I ran Head Coach without too much trouble, but Half-Life 2 was pretty doggy on my machine (those are the last 2 PC games I've played).
