Deep Thoughts
Things I ponder as I make sure my TV, burgers, beer and Doritos are ready to go as I begin the pilgramage to Foxboro for Football Night In America (hey, you gotta start tailgating early).
I hate the Broncos. The playoff game last year was a joke, and Denver didn't deserve to win. They got the most ludicrious calls ever. (Apparently in Denver, fumbling the ball out of the end zone is a down at the 1, but whatever). I want to yell In-Com-Plete at every pass Jake Plummer throws. Unfortunately, Jake's thrown about 3 balls this year so I don't know if that will happen or not. Look for me on TV tonight. Heh.
As I mentioned before, here in New England the only real Division 1-A team we have is BC, and boy did they stink up the place last night. I think I should go walk on as their kicker as that guy just is not very good. When I went to the Clemson game, he actually nailed the long snapper in the ass with a "kick"..so it's no surprise that they lost on that extra point and failed 2 pt conversion.
Congratulations to UNH's David Ball who tied Jerry Rice for most 1-AA College TD's. UNH is an, um, interesting place to watch a football game, as most high school facilities in the South are better. However UNH, primarily a hockey powerhouse, has really stepped up the past couple of years. Maybe they'll fix the football stadium...but don't hold your breath.
Okay, gotta get in the shower and get ready for the long drive to the Razor....of course the longer drive is the ride home at midnight (if you're lucky) and knowing you're working tomorrow. Ugh.
