PS3 GT HD — anyone get it?
The Playstation network seems to have crashed and I can't download it. Can you ? Post here.
I'm getting 80710D23 error code.
Sony's site doesn't talk about it, I think they expect you to get excited that you can try to connect for $599. There's a reason there's so much backlash. It's because they treat their customers like shit and expect them to eat it.
Take a look at Xbox and Major Nelson...their blogs are fantastic and feel like you're part of the community. OTOH, I only can dream about playing Resistance online at the moment. The worst part? ITS NOT CHRISTMAS. Can you imagine the pounding the network is going to be taking tomorrow when everyone opens their presents? Maybe they are just gearing up for that. Let's hope so.

Got a 60gb PS3 tonight.
Just downloaded Gran Turismo HD from the Playstation Store. Not bad… as a free download.
You can see it needed more development time… but as a freebie… it works for me!
Nice graphics, but nothing that will make your eyes water. Gorgeous reflections and moutainside as you’re driving though….I’m not overly impressed with anything yet. Moving on to some other demos here soon. I can’t help but wonder if Forza 2 is going to blow this away.

Got it yesterday. I heard some people were having problems but I got right into the store and had it downloaded in a few minutes.
Not to excuse Sony, but the first few months after the 360 came out I would get disconnected every five minutes when trying to download demos, and there were literally thousands of posts on the XBL forums about dl problems. All the hosting for the free stuff gets farmed out, so it’s really just a question of how much do these companies (MS, Sony) want to pay for a good customer experience.

That’s the first I’ve heard of 360 download problems — I mean I Heard it about the video marketplace, but that to me wasn’t as big of a problem as not being able to sign in.
I am finally able to login for the HD download…600 MB…good thing I got the 60GB model!
