Post Christmas Wrap Up

I hope everyone had a fun, safe holiday. With a six-year old in the house, it just doesn’t get any better.

This year’s stand-out gifts:

  • A robot! That cleans the house! I have a robot!
  • A new coffee maker! (much more important than you may realize)
  • A 4-feet long OSU wool pennant (woo)
  • Two OSU stepping stones for the new walkway to the house (2x woo)
  • The Marvel Heroes board game
  • The Fury of Dracula board game (the remake/reissue of the 1987 Games Workshop version)
  • Mary got one those Sharper Image Ionic Breeze clean air things, but it’s really for the both of us.
  • My parents had several family pictures framed for us, which ran them like $400. Our house is still empty (as far as wall stuff) so this was awesome
  • No video games.

Anyone get anything that stands out?

I have a robot!

Hot clothes and a new 80gig video iPod, as well as a DVD recorder.

No games or tech stuff for me this year. I got my Wii system for myself in November, but I did get a kickass homemade round Cribbage board, with a Bucky Badger right in the center, from my in-laws.

Other than that, I just enjoyed buying things for my 2 year old for Xmas this year.

    Bill,

Got that vacum robot myself, funny thing is that it is suppose to save you time but you sit there and watch the damm thing.

I also got the Marvel Board game and one called Battle Lore by Days of Wonder. BL is one you should check out I think it is up your alley.

Hah Dan ya know..I was thinking the same thing about the robot. I havent set it up yet but I bet I watch it do its thing too.

I know (of) Battle Lore. I almost bought it a couple of months ago. Actually, I think I may get Memior ‘44 first. Have you played that?

  5. Dan Says:

Yes I’ve played it. Battle Lore is a little bit more refined system, but it adds the fantasy element etc.

I’m just burned out on WW2 games, so its just a matter of genre. I am looking forward to Tide of Iron from FFg next month.

Next time we run our bi-annual Con, i am going to invite you down.
