Snowpocalypse ‘07
So, we’re due to get some snow this weekend. Somewhere between 6-12 inches is supposed to fall between Friday night and Monday morning, but for some reason everyone around here is treating it as if it’s going to be the next ice age descending on south central Wisconsin.
Every year that I can remember we get at least two or three good days of snowfall that add up to about this much, somehow this storm is completely different.
I’ll be putting my faith in the fine people that work for the highway departments and the person that plows my driveway and I’ll hope that they just clear the road enough for me to go play hockey on Sunday morning. Other than that, I’m just sitting at home with my daughter and gaming all weekend.
What’s on my gaming agenda for the weekend? Crackdown on the 360, Resistance on the PS3(I really need to start playing this,) and some Wii Play and Wario Ware on the Wii. Add in a touch of World Of Warcraft and I think I have a very nice winter weekend planned.

Yeah, I can’t wait till the programming cut ins from the “goof on the roof” Douglas on CBS here in Minneapolis so he can tell us that “The snow is starting to fall, we’re all going TO DIE!”
Good puck this weekend Glen, Gophs-Huskies. The DQ Cup is up for grabs this weekend. heh.

There should be some good WCHA hockey this weekend. I just have to hope that the Badgers take 4 from Tech. If they can do that, the league could be a huge mess by Sunday. The fact that the Badgers could move all the way up to 3rd by next weekend is just amazing to me. Not that I think it will happen, but it’s just nice that they still have something to play for considering how bad they were this weekend.
I’ll be fine with the Gophers clinching the title this weekend. I just don’t think the WCHA is good enough this year to make a serious run in the NCAA’s though.
At least you can watch your games though. I’m stuck listening to the radio considering television hasn’t made it’s way up to Houghton.
