Elite in hand
Well, in a shocking development, I went and traded in my old 360 for the elite. I know you are surprised. I have it hooked up via HDMI — which looks MUCH better (I’m not just saying that because I spend $220), and transferring my data over. I did buy a 120 GB drive a few days ago so I took that cable out. I hope I can ebay it. Anyone want a 120GB drive cheap? Well by cheap I mean less than retail, but i want to make most of my $$ back :). Of course I also picked up the PRP which even though is $60 is well worth it given the crud of a warranty MS gets you — yes it’s one year but it takes forever to get a new console…when you get the ring of death, you want a new one now not in 2 weeks.
So it’s going to take 1 hr 20 mins to transfer from the 20GB to the 120GB…which seems like a long time to me if you’re going via USB…I mean you’re only transferring 20GB of data…does it really take that long?
Anyway I lost all the ‘preinstalled’ stuff on the Elite..which wasn’t anything worth getting excited about anyway…
Now I have two HDMI consoles (PS3 and 360) but only 1 HDMI in on my TV. I could go with VGA on the 360, but that would defeat the purpose of getting the Elite, no?
Why can’t they make a cheap A/B HDMI switch? Is it that hard?

They actually do, you just have to know where to find them.
