May Day!

Been a crazy couple of days. FEMA came by to take a look at my basement…I hope we can get some assistance for our $4,800 flood loss…fingers crossed..

In other news, as I get back to gaming, Codemasters sent over Heatseeker for the Wii yesterday. I am a sucker for these types of games…the game initially reminds me of Top Gun for the NES…right down to the graphics….you know me, I’m a graphics whore and they are not very good. Gameplay does have it’s moments if you can get over the unique control scheme.

Picked up a bunch of games as part of the buy 2 get 1 free promo going on at GameStop. Got TMNT becuase I need 1,000 gamerpoints, also picked up the Marble game for the Wii because Craig said it was good. Craig doesn’t play many games these days, or it’s payback for me telling him the first World Series game was good. yes it’s a fun game, but I played it as Super Monkey Ball already.

Also picked up Blazing Angels for my son, Blitz the League (free is a great price), and a bunch of DS games for the kids that like any virtual pet game ending with a Z…that means Horsez, Hamsterz, Catz and Dogz.

Mad props go out to Nick Blair who was able to get me a manual HDMI switch and 3rd HDMI cable (to run the switch) for about $40, which is less than the HDMI cable alone.

Glen has been busy translating the baseball game. Bill in his infinite wisdom assigned me to do a review. Between Glen translating and my friend in Tokyo whom we’ll call Mr. X because he works for a certain game company and can’t reveal his identity, we’ve really been trying to get a read on it.

I think it’s no surprise that Glen and I both recommend this game if you’re looking for a PS3 baseball fix. Glen has been raving about MVP mode, maybe he’ll post something about it today….

I’m off to the Red Sox game tonight…hey even if you’re an O’s fan, you can enjoy a game at Friendly Fenway..and hey, with the O’s losing all but 1 game in the past week, what else am I doing to do.

  1. Glen Says:

I will be posting a bit more about the MVP and Spirit modes of the game tonight.

Dan’s right though, I love the game and it’s easily the most fun I’ve had playing a console baseball game since the World Series Baseball titles on the Saturn.
