Tough room
Seeing as how the Brewers are about to lose their 12th game out of 15, I figured I would bore all of you with a quick story about my daughter.
We’re really big hockey fans, Wisconsin hockey in particular, and my daughter has been going to games since she was 1 month old, so she’s pretty used to all of the cheers at this point. Whenever Wisconsin scores a goal the crowd chants “Sieve” at the other goalie. They’ve been doing it for decades and my daughter really enjoys it.
The other day my wife and daughters came to my office to have lunch with me. I helped load the kids back into the car and was just saying goodbye to my wife when my 2 year old daughter said from the back seat, “Love you, daddy” and blew a kiss. I was in the midst of saying something to my wife so I didn’t make the motion to catch the kiss right away. I’d say that it took me maybe 2 seconds before I mimed catching the kiss.
Without missing a beat, my daughter starts chanting “Sieve! Sieve! Sieve!”
Going from telling me she loves me to mocking me in less than 2 seconds. There is no doubt that kid is mine.
