Quick hits before bed:
1. Glen and I played a PS3 online game, at first around 8PM Eastern, we had a lot of lag and then as I was about to score Glen mentioned his kid was crying or his balls hurt or something, and then we lost connection. We then played a new game around midnight and it was lag free and very enjoyable. I even won a challenge on a ball spot and I enjoyed having Glen suck it on the 2 yards. Yes, it was dumb but enjoyable. Glen knocked me from the ranks of the undefeated, however it was an unranked game so I’m still in the top 300. Of course there are only 300 people that have the game on PS3 so there. As Glen said, you know APF didn’t push for the PS3 because they don’t even have wallpaper for the game on the XMB. Still a good 17-14 loss for me. One issue we saw was that I got called for offensive clipping but we couldn’t spot the foul on replay. We also noticed I had two #65 players on the field. This game is just so much fun….but with so little depth, it’s hard to accept a full priced game.
2. My eye is dialated now and I can barely see out of it, which is why Glen won. :). Hey at least my excuses are real. LOL.

Hey… my daughter was actually crying. She’s 4 months old, or something. And… um… you weren’t going to win anyway.
I don’t know what it is, but almost every game that Dan and I play ends up going down to the wire, with the exception of the NCAA game that he never mentions.
If 2K had bothered to implement a franchise system and priced this game at $39.99, it would have a chance to crush Madden. As it is, I can’t picture how it’s sales will make a dent in Madden this year.

Given EA’s bitching over the game, I don’t think it has to take away any Madden sales, just exist period. Stupid EA and their stupid licensing deal.

I don’t understand how they could let the duplicate number thing slip by. It isn’t like it would be that hard to fix.
On another note, has anyone had any luck on Punt returns against the CPU? The coverage team is right on top of my returner when he catches the ball every time.
I agree on the pricing thing. At 39.99 it would have killed. I don’t want to buy Madden this year, but like the good Charlie Brown that I am I’m sure I will and then have the ball yanked on me yet again.
