Sunday night news and notes
- The Packers looked pretty good in beating the Chargers today, of course Dan had to chime in and tell me that the Chargers sucked and Favre is too old. And people call me the bitter one.
- I watched Family Guy for the first time in quite a while and really enjoyed their Star Wars episode. They mentioned Robot Chicken’s Star Wars episode at the end of the show, it’s well worth a look. My personal favorite moment was the Admiral Ackbar cereal commercial.
- So, this game called Halo 3 is coming out this week. I don’t know if you’ve heard about it.. but it seems like Microsoft is trying to sneak it out without putting any marketing behind it. A few people might try and pick it up to see if it’s worth their time.

Might just be me, but I don’t think Halo 3’s going to make the big splash financially that its predecessor did.

Considering Microsoft has a great deal less consoles owners to sell the game to, I’d have to agree with you.

Well, if Gears can sell 4.5 million and still going, and with nearly a year of extra hardware sales, I would say it’s almost impossible that Halo 3 won’t reach the 6 million sales of Halo 1 by this time next year,and eventually pass Halo 2’s 8 million.

For reference, it took Gears two weeks to reach one million sales, including Black Friday. Halo 3 pre-orders have exceeded those of Halo 2, which means that it will almost certainly sell more that Halo 2’s total of 2.5 million in the first 24 hours.
