Wheeee!
Mary somehow managed to get a Wii at a Wal-Mart in Mount Vernon, Ohio. I can't believe those things are still so damn hard to find. Anyway, Ashley will be happy on Christmas, so score one for mom.
Now I need to find a great Wii game for a 7 year old...

Allow me to be the first to make the obvious joke…
Aren’t all Wii games for 7 year olds?
Ba-dum pish!

You already have the best game for a 7 year old and for anybody that likes to have fun in Wii sports. Also, Carnival games is a fun party game too!

My daughter is 7 and loves the Wii Sports game that’s included. She’s absolutely into Carnival Games and Mario Party.

Wiis are pretty easy to get where I live in Virginia. I cant believe that some areas have none and some have an overflow of stock.

Get playground. I just picked it up the other day and we can’t get enough of it. Single player is fun, but multiplayer is great. Dodge ball is just great! My wife, son and I played it for about 2 hours tonight.

Based on the early reviews I think the Mario & Sonic Olympic game might be decent. Archery sounds outstanding at least.

Lots of games for a 7 year old:
Wii Play (with controller)
Carnival Games (better than the idiots say)
EA Playground (ditto)
And you can get Hannah Montana dance party. I bet it’s just like it was at E3. Heh.

I really enjoyed Crash of the Titans. It’s not too hard, and the co-op mode is pretty fun so if there’s a part she’s having a hard time getting past, you can jump in to help her out, and then just jump out. Some of the game’s sense of humor may be over her head, but other than that, I think it’d be Ok for a 7 year old.
