Another Rock Band Post
While I picked up Unreal Tournament 3 for the PC, I noticed that the Target here had 12 Xbox 360 Rock Bands and 3 PS3 Rock Bands. Needless to say, rumors of a sellout are just that -- rumors.

Check back in a few days.

I don’t think that there is any doubt that the game will sell out. Putting out a new game 2 days before Thanksgiving pretty much will guarantee that.
The thing that seems to be surprising most people is the fact that it isn’t being swept off the shelves.
I still maintain that the $169 price point is a very high one (even with what you’re getting.) Once you get past the hard core adopters, it’s a lot to ask for for a gaming purchase.

A stack of about 30 Rock Band 360′s and 20 for the PS3 at the Best Buy tonight when I went (low impulse control) to buy it.

Last week I didnt agree with you at all, however the hardware that comes in the bundle is defective for quite a few users.
1- The guitar seems to lose its ability to downstrum quickly. Some uses are saying that it has happened to them after 4-6 hours.
2- The drums are highly variable. Some users are having to use tape to maintain pressure on the red (i believe) pad to keep it registering on the harder difficulties. The pads seem fine for those playing on Medium, but Hard and Difficult are leaving some users pulling their hair out because of the lack of registering from the pads.
If the drums and guitar fail, then this release looks to be a big failure. If the hardware complaints are rare, then I think that this is the best rhythm game ever created.

People play on hard on drums? I can barely keep from failing out on medium! I’m pretty good at expert on guitar, but drums are hard to get my head around.

I agree. The drums are tough. I suck at playing them. Here is a youtube video of the drum “problem”:

Here is the supposed fix:

My guitar lost the “downstrum” about about six hours of use yesterday.
After it “rested” for a little while we World Tour’d with vocals and drums, it came back to life for an hour or two, and then quit downstrumming again.
How prevalent is this?

That is the most prevalent issue that I’ve heard for the game.
I’d contact the customer service address that was in the box. Lots of people are saying that there is some hot glue on the inside that comes loose after playing for a bit.
