Badgers to the Outback Bowl
It’s not a big deal for some programs, but 4 consecutive January 1st bowl games is a big thing here in Wisconsin. If I didn’t have 2 kids to watch, I’d really look at a trip to Tampa. A flight in on the 31st and back on the 1st is only $300 something. Tickets for the game are $65… dang. Oh, well. Maybe some other year.

There are also a lot of transplanted Wisconsin residents in Tampa - when I lived in St Pete and the Bucs would play the Packers in the old Tampa Stadium, there was always a lot more green than orange in the stands. And Wisconsin always brings a great crowd to the Outback (and the games are usually good).
Maybe in a few years you could go and take the kids once they are old enough to enjoy the trip. Disney is only 2 hours from Tampa and you have the beaches close as well as Busch Gardens and some other stuff in Tampa. Usually you will get great weather - although I went to an Outback Bowl once between Penn St and Auburn and the weather was like it was in Pittsburgh on Monday night. I swear I was colder in 50 degree rain than I ever was going to Buffalo Bills games in December. I guess I was always ready for the cold in Buffalo but not prepared for even a chill in Tampa.

I think that would be a nice thing to do when the kids are old enough to enjoy disney. With one being almost 3 and the other being 8 months… it doesn’t seem like a trip down there for that would be worth it.
I remember watching games that were in the Big Sombrero and seeing so many Packer fans whenever they played the Bucs. It was always entertaining.
