Riding the Pines - Episode 12
Well, Dan and I are finally back on track with Riding the Pines. In this week we cover the following….

- EA locking up the NFL until the 2013 season

I haven’t listened to the 2k8 conference call, but I completely agree about these features. Big heads and trading cards? What is this–2001? Fortunately I have a PS3 and will be picking up the Show.
And as far as 2k football, I thought that it was really good in a lot of respects, such as the various animations, but felt incomplete in that the user could only choose a handful of Legends for their team. I say screw the NFL and make the whole damn thing completely customizable:
- allow users to upload gif or pngs for team logos rather than picking and choosing the lame batch we get every year.
- enable easy roster/league sharing between players.
- enable more robust player customization (I felt that the controls on this were a bit limited for “next-gen” gaming.
Make this happen and I’ll probably buy it. Lord knows I won’t buy Madden.
