1. Anyone watch American Idol? I thought it was great how Randy said a guy did a great Michael Hutchence to “Don’t You Forget About Me,” which was performed by Jim Kerr of Simple Minds (aka Chrissy Hines’ of the Pretenders ex-husband). The judges this year are really grating on me. I love it how they say be original and take risks and then when they do, the contestants get yelled at for not singing the song as the judges remember it.  I also love how “Songs Of The 80s” was pretty much songs of the 90s. Seriously I don’t recall Celine Dion singing It’s All Coming Back To Me Now in the 80s.  Apparently it was ‘written’ in 1989, by the guy who wrote songs for Meat Loaf, which explains it’s theatrical character. Now that I think about it, Meat Loaf should have done this song.

2. I’m beginning to think the SNL parodies are dead on about Hillary. She should get out for the good of the party? No, she shouldn’t.  The press sure does seem anti-Hillary, maybe everyone should vote for her just to piss off the press.

3. If you’re into sports, you probably know Frank Caliendo’s impression of John Madden and how he talks about Brett Favre. Well, the first thing I saw on MSNBC’s site today was “Madden Shares Memories of Favre” and I laughed out loud.

4. Although Glen and I couldn’t get together on an online game (Glen is too afraid to face me obviously, but he kept saying he was getting a connection error), I played someone at random. My opponent chose the Red Sox (of course), and I chose the Orioles. I won 2-0 in a thriller. What’s great about MLB is they have stats and records online right here. I wish they had a full box score and not just the # of HRs I hit, but it’s nice that it’s archived. (Update: link requires sign in, so I pointed you to the main screen). I like this game a lot.
