Why make a complicated sports game when you can make something super simple with dumbed down graphics, and not even an intent of it being realistic? It's way cheaper for EA that way. Perfect types of games for their "line-worker" programmers. They have about as much passion for the product as an assembly line making cars.

And if you don't like it? There's no alternatives so you're screwed.

What's wrong with having simpler sports games for the Wii? Not everyone wants to have to press 19 buttons presnap, and good luck getting a younger kid into a sports game when they can't figure out how to throw the dang ball. You don't have to play them if you don't want to. It hurts nothing to have them.
