Bwhahahahahaa. 7R in 0.2 IP...yes only 1 was earned, but still. Maybe Angelos didn't give Moose even a counter offer, but when you sign with the Yankees, all bets are off. If he signed with Boston, I could have even lived with that I suppose, becuase in 1979, some jerky kid didn't steal a home run in game 2 of the ALCS. Not that I'm bitter about it.

Who cares? Yanks suck because Cashman was too stupid to know a 2 time Cy Young lefty was worth garbage prospects.

I’m assuming you meant 1997, not 1979. I would have thought the 1979 ALCS would be good memories for O’s fans.

My train of thought sucks. I was referring to the Boston-Baltimore rivalry of 1979. The ALCS in 1997 was Meier. I was saying if Mussina went to Boston today I wouldn’t be mad but in 1979 I would have. I’m tired, btw.

Dan, wrong again.
1996 was Jeffrey Meier. The 1997 ALCS was Alomar HRing off Mariano Rivera – then that weird World Series between the Indians and Marlins.
