Activison vs EA
Let's recap:
Last year I purchased Rock Band Special Edition.
My drums did not work. EA had a great form to fill out, they cross shipped the drums and made sure that I had my drums before I had to send the old ones back.
Activision on the other hand makes you fill out a request from Red Octane rather than Activision. OOPS, that's not our problem, we only distribute Red Octane, even though we own them.
You have to ship it at your own cost, wait 2 weeks and maybe get a replacement.
Suffice it to say, Activision is really blowing it here.

Yeah, I must admit, the Rock Band return system worked pretty quick and was as easy as could be for the consumer. I had to use it twice and both times I had zero problems with it.
That sure helps, since as a customer you’re already upset that you have to return faulty goods to begin with.

I’m retuning mine as well. I don’t even want to get another one, it seems like a large percentage of all units are broken, and the setup / packup time for these bundles is huge. Add to that the 20 minutes to drive to the retailer, probably another 20 minutes in line to get a return, and it’s too much. I’m just going to use my RB1 instruments and Les Paul controller.

I’m having some issues with my guitar as well, so I’m just going to wait for a bit and see if the process gets more streamlined. It’s not like I don’t have other guitars to use in the mean time.
The drums are pretty much perfect for me right now though.
