Just getting ready to go play hockey so here’s my thoughts for the day…

- Disappointed that the Packers lost in OT today.  I wish that they would have had a chance on offense in overtime, but hey, that’s how the rules work.  You lose the toss, you can lose the game.

- The Badgers blew their game yesterday with 9:00 to go.  Up by 11, they managed to self-destruct in multiple ways.  The coach drew a 15 yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, and then decided that it would be a smart idea to call time out when Michigan State had none remaining… so that they could get their field goal unit set up.  The Spartans were running everyone on the field to get their field goal attempted… and they were looking pretty confused, so the Badger coaching staff bailed them out and called a time out so that they could get all settled in.  Mighty nice of them.  Dumbasses.

- At least the Badger hockey team managed to salvage a split in Grand Forks, scoring 5 goals in the 3rd period to get a win last night.  Still, starting a season 1-6-1 isn’t a great sign.

- I’ve been debating picking up Gears of War, seeing as how it’s been seen on clearance at Target.  I just never got into the game when it came out… not sure if I should give it another look seeing as how #2 is due out soon.

- The Mirror’s Edge demo was pretty impressive this week.  I think it’s a bit silly that the pre-order bonus is to unlock a Time Trial mode in a demo.  I kind of like to see something with more substance… but maybe that’s just me.

- The Resistance 2 beta ended with a whimper for me this week.  I was really underwhelmed by the gameplay.  Killzone is tons more fun online…. and is quite a bit more impressive graphically as well.  Oh, well.
