MLB09: The Show Franchise Mode
Damn if this doesn't look like a great bit of work on the Franchise side of things on MLB09.
- 40 man roster? Check
- Options? Check
- Arbitration? Check
- Rule 5 draft? Check
Looks like I picked the wrong year to quit buying games... Oh,well. There is always renting.

Speaking of poor impulse control…I signed up for the EA Fantasy Sports Tracker for $1 early in the year (mainly to get the 200 gamer score – I know, lame).
I setup a test league with 1 team and never really went back into it. Well guess what, I won my league (honestly, not that hard with only one team)…and got a coupon code for $25 for the EA Store. After trolling through the store I’m going to pick up one of their $30 games for $5 or maybe even a $20 game for free.
Nice tip on the Fantasy Tracker. Did anyone else get this.

Well, there’s almost no point to a 40 man roster if you don’t have Rule V.

Not true. A player must be on the 40-man roster to be eligible for major league play. It’s a great addition (if implemented properly), because it will bring an additional level of strategy to managing rosters. Hopefully it means that MLB09 has fixed the way it handles the disabled list.
