  1. I just don’t know what to think about MLB 2K9. After the patches, and slider work, I really came to love 2K8. But it was too buggy out of the box and there were too many settings and sliders to adjust in order to get a good game.

If 2K9 can just fix the frame rate, and create a reasonable settings out of the box, it could be a great game. The fact that they are releasing almost no information might be a good sign. All I want is an improved 2K8. I don’t need any new features.

I keep hearing abut how good The Show is, but 2K’s pitching, throwing, and baserunning were so full of win, I just don’t want to go back the old school way of playing the game.

I had written baseball games off quite some time ago, as they just never quite made it feel right. I preferred a good text based game over what passed for the best graphical games. This goes double for online play, as baseball is a great chess match that usually gets lost in poor gameplay controls online.

The first impressions of MLB Manager were not good, but maybe that is the game I am looking for?

  2. I’m in a large wait and see crowd on 2K9 as well. I did like some of the things that they implemented last year, but am concerned about how well new features might be inserted, perhaps at the cost of updating last years work.

As far as online play is concerned, the best online baseball game I’ve ever played is PYS4. Dan and I had some terrific battles in that game. The other games have been laggy and annoying in every attempt.

I’m very anxious to get my hands on MLB Manager next week. It’s our first chance for an OOTP-like baseball game on a console, so here’s hoping.

  3. Liar. You said you were going to put a picture of Erin Andrews up this week, and instead I get this.

Now I want an Erin Andrews pic AND a Megan Fox pic.
