$4 for the 3 at a time program, so it’s almost a 25% premium. Fair enough blu-ray disks do cost about 25% more than a regular DVD. But very few people are going to be renting 100% blu-rays; a more realistic figure is 1 in 3 or 4 . And does it cost any more to ship and handle blu-rays? That most be a significant part of the business cost too.
So, $1 was probably about right as a legitimate business cost; the new charges are just a ripoff because they know we will pay more.

I am thankful that as a charter member, I pay $16.99/mo for 4 out instead of the regular price…so I’m not complaining too loudly…
