The Blog for the Sports Gamer Three guys who love Sports Gaming rant and rave about various stuff.

Tuesday notes

- Thank goodness it's only one game... Jeff Suppan is a terrible day one starter.  When all is said and done, the Brewers give up 10 against San Francisco.  I love how the hitters get a 5-4 lead after Soup gives up 3 in the bottom of the first, and he goes and gives it right back.

Oh, well.  At least the team was agressive on the bases, stealing 4.

That's something to build on, I guess.

- Still liking the DSi.  My daughters absolutely love the camera functionality.  I've been taking pictures of them and playing with the effects and amusing them to no end.  Plus, it is nice to have a picture of my girls show up when you turn on the system.

- Nearly done with GTA4... although I just don't know if I'm going to make it.  I've gotten insanely tired of 10 minute driving segments to a mission, only to get to a mission where you have to ride a motorcycle on the beach.  YAY!  Let me tell you how much that sucks.  Ugh.

  1. Aggressive, or “not very smart” as much of the baseball world now knows it. There’s a reason why steal attempts have been going down for many years; teams now realize that you have to be successful 75% of the time just to break even. So, Weeks stealing, yes; Cameron and Braun stealing on a catcher who threw out 35% of runners last year, that’s bad baseball.

  2. Yeah, but they did well with it today. They were getting good pitches to go on.

They did get lucky at least once today, as a hit and run was swung through, but I like to see those guys on the move a bit more. If Corey Hart could have hit the ball today… I bet he would have been running as well.

  3. I’m sold on the DSI. Hopefully I’ll be able to find one.

  4. I’ve seen tons of them in stores.

I think Nintendo got demand right on these ones… for once.

I can’t get over how bright the screens are. My wife loved it when she saw it… I think she might be getting one soon as well.

  5. oh hey glen, did you get my email regarding the bracket challenge?
