Quick Monday notes
- inFamous is absolutely terrific. It really reminds me of Crackdown, but with super powers that are a lot more fun to use. The electricity aspect of the game is amazing and the visuals for it never cease to impress me. I figure I'm about 1/3rd of the way through the game on the "good" side of things, and I'm already planning on giving it a go on the 'evil' side after I'm done with it.
However you can get your hands on this game (purchase, Gamefly,) give it a go. Well worth your time.
- E3 starts today. No great sports revelations to this point though
We did get the leak about the PSPGo over the weekend, and my only hope is that the game rental/download service is available to the other versions of it as well.
Microsoft's starting their press conference 5 minutes early today. Oooh. Let me contain my excitement.
- Not that it's a big deal, but I started up Life with Playstation last night and there was an update available. They've added a channel for, what seems to be, news of humanitarian efforts. An interesting addition to the channel, to be sure.
- Nice for the Brewers to get the sweep of the Reds over the weekend. This is the fastest that the Brewers have ever gotten to 30 wins in the history of the franchise. I'm just happy that they're scoring some runs and winning games against the division.
- Ok, not that quick of a morning notes...
- Ordered a few games from NCSX, the official import store of the blog, on Friday night. They have the Asian versions of Hakuna Matata and Aquanauts Holiday for $30 each. Both games are presented in English, so there should be little barrier there.
My oldest daughter has been talking about Safari's, they've been discussing them in daycare, for the last week or so, and I figured this is the best I can do to get her to see how the animals live in their natural habitat. Not a real representation or anything... but at least it should be a somewhat educational experience for her.
- Oh, and I pre-ordered Pro Yakyuu Spirits 6. I just couldn't go a year without that game.
After a time, I just felt that MLB09 wasn't that great of a baseball game. I couldn't put my finger on it, but the gameplay just didn't seem all that enjoyable after taking a month off from playing it. We'll see if PYS 6 does the trick. Still have to wait a month or so on that one though...
PYS does include the WBC. That should be interesting to play through. I'll see if I can actually get the U.S. to win the thing for a change...
