Tiger 10

I just saw a commercial for Tiger Woods 10 for the Wii on the Tonight Show w/Conan. I’m really looking forward to it.

Quick Monday Thoughts (E3 Edition)

I was nonplussed with the Microsoft Press Briefing. I was hoping for Hulu support and more games that we haven’t played before. Instead it was the year of the sequel. Non stop sequels. Yikes.

Jury is out on that Camera control thingy. My kids will enjoy You’re In The Movies 2 as they love the first one.

I expected more than twitter and facebook on the 360. BFD. You know what I did like is the fact you’ll be able to add movies to your watch now queue from the 360. That is a good thing.

In other news, Tecmo announced a new NBA game that will be out on Live/PSN. That may be interesting….

Quick Microsoft E3 press conference notes

- Obviously, the biggest story to come out of the Microsoft presser was the Natal announcement.  For me though, I don't how much we'll see of any of it for gaming.  I think it would have better applications for people using their home computers rather than virtual world/gaming interactions.

Cost will be a huge factor for it.  Pricing will have to be terrific or they'll be looking at a lot of issues trying to get this to the masses.

It's a facinating tech demo, but I remember the tech demos that they showed when they first announced the Xbox and we never anything close to that during the life of the system.  Time will tell.

- Facebook on Xbox 360?  Forgive me, but while I have a Facebook account, this is something I have ever thought that I needed.

- Share Video Content with your friends... meh.

- As for the games, lots of sequels. Forza 3, Halo stuff, Splinter Cell, Left 4 Dead 2...

- It's E3.  Everything is about hype.

- Was it just me or was the Beatles game one of the only titles actually making it's way out this year?

Quick Monday notes

- inFamous is absolutely terrific.  It really reminds me of Crackdown, but with super powers that are a lot more fun to use.  The electricity aspect of the game is amazing and the visuals for it never cease to impress me.  I figure I'm about 1/3rd of the way through the game on the "good" side of things, and I'm already planning on giving it a go on the 'evil' side after I'm done with it.

However you can get your hands on this game (purchase, Gamefly,) give it a go.  Well worth your time.

- E3 starts today.  No great sports revelations to this point though

We did get the leak about the PSPGo over the weekend, and my only hope is that the game rental/download service is available to the other versions of it as well.

Microsoft's starting their press conference 5 minutes early today.  Oooh.  Let me contain my excitement.

- Not that it's a big deal, but I started up Life with Playstation last night and there was an update available.  They've added a channel for, what seems to be, news of humanitarian efforts.  An interesting addition to the channel, to be sure.

- Nice for the Brewers to get the sweep of the Reds over the weekend. This is the fastest that the Brewers have ever gotten to 30 wins in the history of the franchise.  I'm just happy that they're scoring some runs and winning games against the division.

- Ok, not that quick of a morning notes...

- Ordered a few games from NCSX, the official import store of the blog, on Friday night.  They have the Asian versions of Hakuna Matata and Aquanauts Holiday for $30 each. Both games are presented in English, so there should be little barrier there.

My oldest daughter has been talking about Safari's, they've been discussing them in daycare, for the last week or so, and I figured this is the best I can do to get her to see how the animals live in their natural habitat.  Not a real representation or anything... but at least it should be a somewhat educational experience for her.

- Oh, and I pre-ordered Pro Yakyuu Spirits 6.  I just couldn't go a year without that game.

After a time, I just felt that MLB09 wasn't that great of a baseball game.  I couldn't put my finger on it, but the gameplay just didn't seem all that enjoyable after taking a month off from playing it.   We'll see if PYS 6 does the trick.  Still have to wait a month or so on that one though...

PYS does include the WBC.   That should be interesting to play through.  I'll see if I can actually get the U.S. to win the thing for a change...
