First NCAA 10 thoughts
- I played on quick play game, Wisconsin vs. Minnesota and saw 1 fumble returned for a TD as well as a pick-6. I've heard that this is an issue that people have seen quite a bit of... but that's just what I saw in my first game.
- After that, I started up a Road to Glory career and saw some real issues with pursuit angles... but I'm hoping that's just a case of the competition that they set before you in the high school mode (although this did continue in my first game in college as well.)
- My career started out as a Madison RB, and after winning the state title and becoming a 5-star recruit, I chose to go to Iowa, due to the fact that I could start right away there.
- One thing I have never liked about this 'superstar' mode of the game is that you have to choose whether you want to study each day or work out. As if the student athletes just choose to do one thing a day. It just seems like such a silly way to make a player progress throughout college.
- I'll probably be in the minority for saying this, but too much Erin Andrews. It's hard to fathom that an entire segment of the game is dedicated to video clips with her talking about a generic player. A pretty sad statement for the future of the franchise if that's where things are heading.
- After my first one "regular" game and 5 RTG games... I have seen 3 penalties. Two false starts and, a legit, facemask call.
- The game seems to need a lot of tweaking out of the box. It's entertaining enough for me, but I think the people who are looking for a great college sim, will need to adjust it quite a bit.
- I've seen a few slowdowns and hiccups in gameplay as well. I'm playing the PS3 version, not sure what difference that will make.
- I'll try to play it a bit more on Sunday night.
- Thoughts from the rest of you?

Why is it so difficult for football games to do penalties right?
