NHL 10 ‘Be A GM’ video

Gametrailers has posted a video about the additions that have been made to the GM mode of NHL 10.

I really like the look of the draft day section thus far. One of the things that I saw this year was how many trades were made in the actual NHL draft process (including a ton by the Islanders... I can only hope that they work out.)

My hope is that they put a bit more into the "Goalie mode" for this year. I still feel that they're not doing a great job of simulating what it's like to actually be between the pipes.... but I think the reason for that is that no one really wants to get hit in the head with a 90+ mile an hour slap shot... except for idiots like me.

I see they still have ridiculous goals. ie. “Draft a Center from the united States”.
I don’t know about you, but I’m far more inclined to be worrying about drafting the best player available then ensuring said player plays Center and must be of a specific nationality.

Tampa probably isn’t crying because they drafted a Swedish blueliner rather then an American Center.

I have to agree with you there. The goals should be something like, ‘Draft, or acquire on draft day, a 5-star center prospect.’ (The game shouldn’t penalize you for having draft picks later in the day because of having a better team.)

Since when have the top prospects for the game, hockey, come from the US?
