I’m still here
Happy Sunday to you. Between Graduate school and U9 Soccer Tournaments, I’ve been insane.
Let’s catch up:
First, F*** Denver. Every time the Patriots go there, there are referee calls that would make the Ravens murder someone. Seriously, no fumble forward progress was stopped for .00003 seconds so it’s not a fumble.
And of course, don’t get me started on the NFL’s Horseshit way to have overtime. It is simply the worst way to decide a game. Why just go ahead and have a coin toss to decide the winner, as it’s about the same thing.
Moving on, in a game that has a much better overtime/playoff system, the USA qualified for the World Cup last night thanks to “worst penalty kick ever taken in a World Cup Qualifier.” Thank you Honduras. Seriously how do you over shoot a net on a PK? Practicing to win a crappy NFL Overtime game?
Moving on to hockey, where their tiebreakers are much more fun to watch with a 5:00 OT period and a shootout, that Bruins game last night was pretty impressive – down to NY 3-0 with 10 mins in the 3rd and they get 3 goals to tie. Nicely done!
With video games, I have a ton here that I just ran out of time to play. I Have my Windows 7 Ultimate signature edition just installed in preparation for my Windows 7 House Party. Nice party package.
I did receive Guitar Hero Van Halen yesterday, and I have to say it’s been pretty fun. I mean there’s no way it’s worth it as a full game. Who the hell wants to play as Wolfgang. It’s like going to the local fair, seeing a great 60s/70s band on the marquee and seeing one guy way in the back that actually played with the band and 4 guys who never played until this past Thursday with them.
Still, Panama is a blast.
NBA 2K10 arrived for the PS3, I played a little. Feels a lot like past years. I’m debating about buying PSP games like NBA Live and NHL via download. It’s too bad they can’t make the PS3 games available for download and save me a trip to the store.
Okay, that’s enough for now.

Last time I checked, the team that does not win the coin toss is allowed to play defense. Too bad NE decided not to.

And what was Brady’s OT record before this loss… 7-0? I’m sure you complained that all of those wins were unfair too, right? Riiiiight.
Quit whining and man up – Brady’s missed passes and blown opportunities weren’t the referees’ problems. Yeah, those ugly unis the Broncos had on would have made it tough for anyone out there but the Pats had chances to win the game or put Denver away and they blew it. Never should have been an OT game.

I’ve always hated the OT system in the NFL, but as has been said… if your team can’t play D for that first drive, then it’s it’s a loss.

My comment was a little harsh, I mean, I understand the frustration. But the way I see it, each team has had 60 minutes to outscore the other. So no complaining that they didn’t get a chance in overtime.
