Tuesday morning notes

- Dan gave it a valiant effort, but came up short in his fantasy league game.  So, strangely, I've found myself in the championship game of both of the leagues that I'm participating this year.   It's nice to get lucky like that sometimes.

- Picked up Shadow Complex on Live Arcade today, as it's dropped to 800 points for the next week, and I'm still sitting on points from last year's Target coupons.  I just never buy anything on Xbox Live any more.  The arcade games just don't really grab me all that often, but this one looked intriguing enough to give it a shot.

- My wife got some Wii games via this House Party website... One of them was called Let's Dance, and while I got the feeling that the detection for the game was not that solid, it was hilarious to watch my girls try and mimic the dances on the screen.  This is a game that is definitely going to make an appearance at the New Years party this year.

- Here are the radio commercials I heard, in order, this morning.  A commercial for an erectile dysfunction drug, a commercial for a strip club, then a commercial for credit card debt relief.

This is what I came up with as a story for that person.  They bought a drug to make sure they weren't going to go limp, went to the strip club to prove it, and then went broke at the strip club and needed help to pay off the strippers.   Just glad that the advertising people at the station got those commercials all to go in the right order.

  1. I really enjoyed Shadow Complex. In this day and age of nearly all 3-D games, it was nice to play a 2-D Metroidvania style game again. You can tell that the developers really spent time polishing the game, which I appreciate. Overall, it was a great experience (I played it through 3 times) and well worth my $15.
