Long time no chat

Sorry for the length of time it’s taken to chat..we’ve been quiet this week…

• I received a significant promotion at work, and while it’s a great job, I’ve had to spend some time getting settled and moving from one location to another. This is very good for me, however between my Master’s degree program and this, it left little time for gaming!
• I finally received my repaired Xbox 360. For those of you that haven’t been through the process:
• I mailed it on 12/30, and received it on 1/15. Not bad, but: 1)I received a UPS Shipping Notification on Monday, although Microsoft didn’t actually ship the console until Thursday. That is frustrating. 2)Microsoft requires a signature to receive the package, which is a problem if you’re at work. UPS was great though and I was able to pick up the package at their distribution center that evening – glad they are open until 7:30.
• My console is the same one that I had – same serial, same everything. They did put a new sticker on the back saying it was repaired.
• All in all, the experience wasn’t bad, just slow. I would have rather they cross shipped/overnighted me a console. Remember, this is Microsoft’s fault, they knew the RROD of death is a problem and I’m on my 7th console. They did give me one month of Live, so that was nice, personally I’d rather have 400 MS points .
