Tuesday night notes

- So, I'm sitting here watching a progress meter tell me how many messages are left to move in an Exchange migration... who says IT work isn't glamorous?

- It looks as though NHL2K11 may not be dead yet.   I didn't really care for the PS3 version of the game, but the Wii version was actually a lot of fun.  I'd be more than happy to see them have another year to work on that title.   Add some decent gameplay speed to it and you've got yourself a winner.

- One of my favorite uses of older video games is to see them used to create highlights of current plays.  This use of Tecmo Super Bowl is the most recent edition of a memorable sporting event being captured in video game form.   Still not as good as the recreation of Game 6 of the 1986 World Series via RBI Baseball, but still good.

- So, I'm trying to quit an annoying habit, nail biting.  It's worst for me when I'm driving my car or... well, generally sitting around with not much to do.  Anyone have any suggestions?  I've tried to quit so many times, but just can't figure out a good way to hang up the habit.

- I usually lead with the Badgers after their game, but I'm still trying to figure out how they lost the game tonight the way that they did.  If you don't score more than 3 points, on your home court, for the last 6 minutes of the game... you're not going to win many games.

Still, they're in a very good position to finish at or near the top of the Big Ten for the season due to the rest of their games being played against teams with a .500 or worse record.  Now it's just up to them to finish strong... and learn how to cover a simple pick and roll.  Ugh, they were destroyed by that play tonight.

- So, our Madden league is heading down the home stretch and we have 4 weeks to go.   As a group, we've been talking about what we would like to do for the next season and we wanted to see if other people wanted to try and join in for season 2.    Drop me a line and let me know if you'd like to join in.  It's been a great league thus far, as no one is taking it incredibly seriously... and it's being played by people who... well, frankly... all have lives.

Let us know if you want to join in the group next season.
