Monday notes
- If you didn't guess it, I was on vacation last week, but was trying to post as much as I could from the road. Cell service was terrible, so I was pretty limited with my postings. Basically, I had to hold my phone up to the door and stand on one foot... so I just gave up after a few days. Anywho....
- I have created the Fantasy Football league for the group. If you want to sign up again for this year, just send me an email and we'll get you added. We need 6 0r 7 people at this moment. So, if you're interested drop an email very soon.
The draft will take place on August 27th and 9:15 EST. Last year we podcasted the draft and it was entertaining to me at least... We might do it again.
- Big series starting up tomorrow night as the Brewers and Cardinals match up for 3 games in St. Louis. Milwaukee has a 3 game lead coming into the series and both teams have been playing pretty damn well. (Brewers have won 11 of 12, and St. Louis has won 7 of their last 10.)
A sweep would be awesome and the way that the Crew are hitting, it's highly possible... but 1 or 2 wins would be fine by me.
- I still don't get the point of the EA Sports Season Pass. I've thought about it for almost a week now and I can't see any reason why you'd pay $25 a year to play games 3 days early. Sure the 20% off on DLC will be nice, but something makes me think that we're going to see lots more DLC now that this season pass is available. Wonder why I think that?
- Lastly, as a reminder to you 3DS owners (such as Dan and myself) we only have 3 more days to log into the 3DS shop to make sure that your system gets the 20 free games.
Also, it's been reported that Costco has already dropped the price of the systems to $169.99 in store, so if you want to get the 20 free games and the new price point, do that in the next few days.
