Friday notes
- This has to be the most nervous I've ever been for a baseball game... especially for one that I'm attending.
The cool thing is that my wife will be at the game with me, which hasn't happened for quite a few years. Hopefully she won't mind the fact that we're standing room only....
No predictions about the game, I just can't do it.
- I started to play Rage last night and found that the screen tearing is just too distracting. Hopefully some new game updates or driver updates will fix the issue, but when you have a line running though the screen constantly, it just bothers your vision.
- I'm really debating picking up NHL Gamecenter this year and using it with my PS3. Has anyone had any experience with the application that would try to talk me out of it? The Islanders start their season on Saturday night, so I haven't missed any of their games yet. Being able to pay $20 a month for the rest of the season is a nice way to be able to watch all of my teams games, when I have the time and opportunity.
If it works well for my Android tablet as well, it'll be an awesome application to have around the house.
- Speaking of hockey, Wisconsin starts their season tonight and no one has any idea as to what to expect for the team. They're starting a freshman goalie tonight... and that could be rough. I'll be at the UND game with my wife in a few weeks, so I guess I'll get a better view of the team at that point and can make up my mind as to how good or bad of a season it could be.
- Other than that.. not too much else to talk about other than the Packers/Falcons game on Sunday night. It would be hard to believe that the Green Bay offense could continue being as incredible as it has been to this point in the season, but they lit up the Falcons last year in the dome... I guess I could easily see them doing it again.
- Have a great weekend! GO BREWERS!

I subscribed to GameCenter for the 1st time. Watched parts of the Toronto/Montreal game last night. Looked good, but not great. Watching live was fine, but when I tried to watch the game from the beginning it was very jittery and unwatchable. I have watched some the classic games and those have worked fine. Not sure what the issue was last night.
I know there were many complaints about the app and the service last year. There were also complaints about Sunday Ticket this year but Sony & the NFL resolved them. Maybe Sony and the NHL will do the same, but I don’t expect the NHL to have the same clout as the NFL.

To make a long story short… While watching live, the quality was better than SD, not as clear as HD but it was entirely watchable. Like having the option of choosing which team feed to watch. Only one game was shown last night, the other two were blacked out.
