World Series teams don’t have a starting pitcher ERA of 6.50.
You can call it giving up, but this team would have to be incredibly lucky to move on, and based on performance, outside of Braun, Prince, and Yo, they don’t deserve it.

Oh, or the Rangers in 2010, Tampa in 2008, Colorado in 2007, Houston in 2005, Mets in 2000 (as they were all World Series losers.)
