Thursday notes

- When you don't hit your shots, you don't win games.  That's pretty much what happened with Wisconsin last night in their game against North Carolina.

I was quite impressed by their ability to take a team that was scoring in the 80's and hold them to 60 though.  I think if they can continue to play defense that well, they could really make a run this year.

- So, I have a guitar (Dean Vendetta XMT,) Amp (Line 6 - Spider IV 15 Watt,) and Rocksmith is set to be delivered today.   I'm sure I'll be a rock god in no time.

All kidding aside, the amp has a tuner built in, so I was able to use that to tune the guitar last night and start taking a few online lessons and learn just how hard it is to play the guitar.   I knew that before, but it wasn't until I tried to move from one power chord to another that I finally realized how much work I'll have ahead of me before I'll feel really comfortable playing.

What was nice though, was the fact that even though I was terrible and it was still fun to play.   If the Badger game wouldn't have gotten in the way, I would have certainly spent a few hours with it last night.   I know what I'll be doing over the weekend now.

- It's the last game of the regular season for fantasy football, so make sure you make your roster moves and lineup changes today if you have anyone playing in tonight's games.   Dan has locked down the #1 seed in his conference, but only two teams have been eliminated from the playoffs as of the final week.  You have to love that.

- Musical interlude

- Really glad to see Mike Leach back coaching again in college football.  I truly believe that he got railroaded due to Craig James' ability to use the network he works for to amplify the story of what happened to his son.

All that aside, glad that the crazy pirate is back and I'll be looking to watch at least one or two Washington State games next year as a result.

- Have a good rest of the day.

  1. Damnit. I regret trading you Lynch now. That and I hate Eagles D now too.

  2. Yeah, I was really was glad that you did that.

  3. First 3 weeks he had 4.7, 1.2, and 7.5 points. Can’t blame me for unloading him. :P But then he has just exploded since then.

  4. It looks good for me playoff time, based on tonight.

  5. I still shoul have won two more games than I did. Stupid fractional points.

  6. The best (most hilarious) outcome would be Dan and Glen playing for the championship. No matter who wins.

  7. It would be the Shut Dan up versus the Dan won’t even shut up bowl.
