If you have Steam and want to try NBA 2K9, now you can, as they’ve released a demo of the game. Just login to your Steam account, select NBA2K9, and enjoy.
Just FYI, you can’t buy the game on Steam…a little odd…

Tried the demo. I had to map out how to move on the gamepad – that was strange. Just leaping in with no idea how the controls really worked (and haven’t played on console at all), I was able to figure out how to do basic moves.
Played with every graphic option jacked up on 1280x and it looks fantastic. You can’t turn off the menu music (annoying).
The animation is ultra-smooth and the graphic titles are sweet.
The game was able to score on me at will first time through, save a block I did with Gasol. The players look exactly like themselves.
My interested is peaked with this one – I want to see how Visual Concepts does with their first PC title. Could be a real winner here.
